Scheduling time to spend with your children can seem like a tall order especially when you have to work. Working from home is not synonymous with spending time with your children. Your children see you but they are not able to interact with you. You have deadlines to meet and you cannot afford not to do it. You have to be very particular about setting time aside so that you spend it with your children.
It does not have to be a whole day, but it should be meaningful time spent with the children. Find something that you can both enjoy. You can play games or just sit and chat during the bonding time that you have. If you don’t set aside time for the children, you will never be able to redeem that time. Children grow and then they leave home. Build memories with them now that they will always remember. Gadgets and other stuff will go out of fashion, but the memories they make will stay with them forever.
Let them know you value them and they will always come to you with their questions. You will not have to worry whether they remember what you taught them because they will find it easy to communicate with you. If you build a trustworthy relationship with your children when they are young, it will grow stronger as the years go by.
