All gardens are not the same. There are some which have beautiful flowers and well-manicured lawns. They look picturesque until you are left wondering if they are real. On the other hand, there are gardens which are disheveled and dirty. They look as if all the dirt in the world found its way there. The leaves are lifeless and the trees are withered.
The difference between these two gardens is the care that the gardener has given them. The trees and grass may be the same kind but without constant care, the difference will be hard to miss. This happens also in our lives. Two people may have the same opportunities but the outcome of their lives will depend on how they used the opportunities that they had. Some people are so consumed by what their neighbor has to the extent that they don’t notice what they have. They may be busy looking for something to criticize in their neighbor while the neighbor is busy looking for something to improve in themselves.
Take good care of your heart because what is in your heart affects every area of your life. If your heart is bitter towards life, then you will always be focusing on the negative. Have a heart that forgives and looks forward to better things ahead. Let go of all that drains you and you will be free to discover that which you are capable of becoming. Make it your aspiration to achieve your purpose.
